Hello, a few months back, we launched Studio We TV, streaming 24-7 rare music and imagery from the lost archives of legendary loft jazz and experimental music venue and community arts organization Studio We (1960s-1970s), Juma Sultan and the New York Musicians Organization (NYMO), the largest archive of underground music from the east coast jazz community, including unheard recordings by Juma Sultan, Aboriginal Music Society, Rashid Ali, Sam Rivers, Milford Graves, Pharoah Sanders, Barbara Donald, Sun Ra, Jimi Hendrix, James Blood Ulmer, The Last Poets, The Juice Quartet and many others. Recently we have expanded the archive to include other rare artifacts from the collection of curator, composer, trumpet player, and owner of Studio We, James DuBois. The platform acts as an educational resource for students enrolled at the UPA and includes rare photographs, scores, posters, artworks, and filmed performances. If in need of access for educational purposes please email us at info@upa.nyc.
